When it comes to chocolate, New York City is a competitive place. But Aigner Chocolates is a step above the rest, as evidenced by the shop's long history. Opened in 1930, Aigner sells (and ships) chocolate barks, cordials, and marshmallows that are made using the kitchen's original kettles and spoons.

The chocolates are divine! Had them out for a holiday dinner and 3 containers gone. Its hard to stop at just 1 piece.
This place is a gem. Great chocolates and other candies, plus hot chocolate and ice cream in a cute corner storefront.
The Aigner team created custom chocolate boxes for our corporate customers. The boxes are stunning and delivered ahead of schedule. They communicated with me along the way, sharing photos and giving me updates. So professional and kind. This was not a small job and they executed beautifully. This is our second year working with them and we could not be happier. Highly recommended!

The moment you walk in, the yummy smell of cocoa overcomes your senses. I love walking in here and getting some chocolate when I can spoil myself. They always have some interesting chocolates; today I saw a "school" set, heels, a handbag, and Daenerys' dragon eggs! The employee greeted us when we came in and offered us a taste of chocolate or ice cream. They have fresh dipped strawberries on Wednesdays. Some chocolates have a fixed prices whereas others are by weight. Love that we have a wonderful place like this in the neighborhood!

They have the most heavenly chocolate and sales people there are very helpful. I would not get chocolates and chocolate gifts anywhere else.

Wow. Aigner Chocolates has definately exceeded my chocolate expectations. Each homemade delish chocolate explodes with the flavor its named for. My favorites are the pistachio marizapn, chocolate truffle and the chocolate orange peel. Love the wonderful warm and friendly staff that take pride in what they do making wonderful high quality chocolate. Thank you for the experience.
You need to visit this place. The chocolate pieces with so many flavors are divine. My family and I just couldn't stop with one piece. I enjoyed every piece with care and excitement. Just order the chocolate pieces without putting to much thought into them. Then take them home and just sit back and slowly bite each chocolate covered master piece. Thank you so much everything.
Truly unique. One of my favorite stores ever!! A local business with heart & character. Everything is reasonably priced for its fabulous quality - as everything is made by them & is Austrian. The chocolates & their wrappings/presentations are always gift worthy. The place is cozy as it is small, but has window seating & wonderful service.

The chocolate here is very good - they offer many different flavors and ingredients. The staff is welcoming too. They have a large variety of molds, which makes it easy to find a uniquely shaped chocolate gift for friends and family!

This shop has beautifully crafted chocolates, and the most friendly staff. I purchased chocolate crosses as a give away for my daughter's first communion, and they were a hit with everyone.

I've used them the last 2 years for holiday corporate gifts for my referrers and the feedback is amazing- Rachel and the staff worked with me to customize and personalize the baskets for my business and the presentation was AMAZING!! The feedback from everyone was great and several actually called saying "that was the most beautiful gift basket I've gotten in all my years in practice". Aigner's Chocolates is one of the best chocolate shops that you will find in NYC. This place is truly amazing. Myself and my family have been going there for years. We have purchased birthday gifts, holiday chocolates as well as client gifts from Aigner's. They have the most amazing gift baskets as well. The owners, Mark and Rachael are the most genuine people that you can imagine. If your looking for any type of chocolate creation, I'm sure they can do it. What an amzing place. Aigner's Chocolates is one of the most unique and delicious places in NYC. This gem is in the heart of Forest Hills and a must see. They have an amazing staff and selection of chocolates to choose from. I have gotten birthday gifts, holiday chocolates and client gifts from them. They truly have the best chocolate that you can imagine. Mark & Rachael, who run the business are two of the most amazing people that you will ever meet. Aigner Chocolates is amazing! I stopped in to pick up a last-minute basket of chocolates for my daughter’s birthday and I was blown away by the shop and their fantastic array of sweets. As co-owners Rachel and Mark will proudly tell you, it is the second-oldest chocolate store in NYC and they hand-craft their products on premises. The best I have ever tasted! If you are anywhere near Forest Hills, you must go in to purchase their scrumptious chocolate. Needless to say, my daughter had a sweet birthday and I was a star!
A little expensive, but you get what you pay for!! Their chocolates are exceptional; try the coffee while you're there..... delicious!!

Wish I had Aigner Chocolates around my corner in Copenhagen, Denmark! Definitely, the best chocolate in the world! I can't name one favorite piece as every single piece of chocolate tastes WONDERFUL!
